The Public Health Emergency Preparedness & Response program provides local and state public health guidance, planning, coordination, response and funding for large scale emergencies. These activities include coordination and funding of incident command and control, disease control, laboratory services, communications systems, public information, medical supplies, equipment and pharmaceuticals and training. Funding for this division is provided by a cooperative agreement through the Department of Health and Human Services, Centers for Disease Control.
SNS (Strategic National Stockpile) contains medical cache for public health emergencies.
It is comprised of two components:
- 12 Hour Push Package
- Managed Inventory
Depending on the public health emergency, when requested by the State, SNS assets can arrive within 6-12 hours of the federal decision to deploy.
If you would like additional information please contact the NDHHS HRL Section.
The Public Health Emergency Preparedness & Response Program is occasionally notified of funding opportunities available to agencies throughout North Dakota. Those opportunities will be posted here.
