Changes coming soon!

Due to changes made to state laws by the 69^th Legislative Assembly, applicants and registered qualifying patients will see certain differences starting August 1.  Notably, beginning August 1:

• Applications approved will have cards issued with an expiration date of two years rather than one year.
  • NOTE: currently issued cards will expire on the date listed on the card.  Thus, current cards will not be valid for two years (upon renewal a two year expiration date will be used).
• The application fee for qualifying patients will change from $25 to $40.
• Telehealth will be allowed for initial written certifications and continue to be allowed for renewals.
• Manufacturing facilities will be allowed to begin processing a cannabinoid edible product (square shape only).
• A non-resident application will be available.

For all legislative changes to the program from this past session, please review a summary here.  Program personnel have been working with the IT vendor to update applications and implement other system changes.  Program personnel are also working on updating materials on the program website including instructions, guides, and other information.  NOTE: On August 1, website updates are anticipated to be made throughout the morning.
