Parent’s Lead is an evidence-based prevention program that provides parents and caregivers with a wide variety of tools and resources to support them in creating a safe environment for their children that promotes behavioral health.

The Behavioral Health Division provides leadership for the planning, development, and oversight of the state's behavioral health system.

Bright Futures is a national health promotion and prevention initiative, led by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The Bright Futures Guidelines provide theory-based and evidence-driven guidance for all preventive care screenings and health supervision visits. 

This program can identify infants and young children (from birth until their third birthday) who have developmental delays when the right help can make all the difference.

Head Start and Early Head Start are child development programs, serving children from birth to age five, expectant mothers and families. The overall goal of Head Start is to increase the social ability of children in low-income families and children with disabilities and improve the chances of success in school. 

Child Care Aware of North Dakota connects parents and communities to childcare that serves their needs.  It helps parents evaluate care options, learn about childcare licensing, and develop an understanding of childcare services. Our statewide database of licensed childcare options helps providers market their openings and connect with parents who are searching for childcare.
