How do I register as a Housing Provider?
- Request a supplier account on the ND Housing Stability Supplier Registration Assistance.
- If your request for a Supplier ID is approved SAVE this number.
- You will need to have your renter's Application ID Number (this is sent to your renter), move to Step 2.
- Create an account on the portal (Click here for a guide for this process)
- Save your login credentials, you will use these to be able to be able to submit payment requests for each of your renters
- You can also create a Housing Provider Profile which will allow you to save information about your different properties to be auto-filled in each payment request (Click here for a guide for this process)
- Check to see if your renter has provided a valid Letter of Commitment before you complete a payment request (Click here for a guide for this process)
- Letter of Commitments have a unique serial number so that they can only be used for one residence
- If the Letter of Commitment number comes back as invalid, please contact the help center at dhserb@nd.gov or 701-328-1907.
- Housing providers must submit a payment request within 21 days of their renter submitting a housed application to receive direct payment (Click here for a guide for this process)
- If a payment request is not completed within 21 days or the housing provider does not wish to participate, the renter will receive payment directly upon approval of their application
- Payment requests much be submitted for each household

The completion on the tasks highlighted on the Housing Provider Checklist are essential for proper application processing. Documents such as proof of ownership, signed LOC, signed lease, and updated ledger are required to verify housing provider authenticity.

A payment request (one per renter) within the online portal is required to facilitate payment. A vendor account/Supplier ID is required to complete the payment request.
A company ID is a four to six digit pin that a vendor (Housing Provider) creates themselves when applying for their Supplier ID. The Supplier ID is ten digits issued by the OMB upon vendor approval
