BISMARCK, N.D. – North Dakota Health and Human Services’ (HHS) Developmental Disabilities (DD) Section is seeking public comments on an amendment of the Medicaid 1915(c) Traditional Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Developmental Disabilities (IID/DD) Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Waiver dated Jan. 1, 2021.
The amendment includes the addition of virtual services, relative caregivers, electronic signatures, and an update to the self-directed background check.
The draft waiver application addendum with the proposed changes is available for review on the DD Section of the HHS website at hhs.nd.gov/dd. Individuals unable to access the online document can request a copy to be mailed to them.
The final document will be posted on the HHS website after the public comment period and after it is approved by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
Comments and public input on the proposed changes will be accepted from April 13, 2023, until 8 a.m. CT on May 15, 2023.
