Registration is live, and families are encouraged to register for the FREE Gateway to Health event on Aug. 10 at North Dakota’s Gateway to Science in Bismarck.

Organized by North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS), Bismarck State College (BSC) and North Dakota’s Gateway to Science, the event promotes the health and well-being of children, families and community members while featuring hands-on activities, free access to Gateway to Science’s exhibits, Hands-Only CPR training, the opportunity to sign-up for services and more. Emergency equipment will be on display for participants to get an up-close learning experience and local food trucks will set up for business.

Families can register for a two-hour time slot on the Gateway to Health webpage on the BSC website. Time slots include 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., 12 – 2 p.m. or 2 – 4 p.m. CT. Based on last year’s success, organizers expect between 1,200 and 1,600 participants. Registered individuals can enjoy guaranteed access to all Gateway to Science exhibits as part of the event on Aug. 10 during their selected time slot, along with promotional items.

“We are pleased to once again work with local partners to promote community wellness at a local level as part of our vision of North Dakota as the healthiest state,” said HHS Community Engagement Unit Director Krissie Guerard. “Participants will find fun, interactive displays supporting physical, financial and behavioral health and disease prevention,”.

Local companies and organizations of all sizes have committed to participate as exhibitors and sponsors to demonstrate support for community health. Event and sponsorship details are online.
