Human Service Centers & the Power of Outreach
"Hope in Action" is a new video series from Health & Human Services that takes you inside the vital work happening every day to support North Dakotans in need.
At Southeast Human Service Center in Fargo, ND, lives are changed through compassionate care and critical services—from 24/7 crisis response to addiction recovery. While many are familiar with the mental health and substance use disorder treatment provided within the center, fewer may realize the powerful outreach efforts happening beyond its walls.
Meeting People Where They Are
Outreach teams at Southeast travel directly into the community, meeting individuals where they are—often at their most vulnerable. These teams partner with organizations like:
- Downtown Engagement Center
- Emergency Food Pantry
- Cooper House
- Cass County Jail
- Hope in Recovery
- ACS (Accessing Community Services)
Together, these collaborations bridge the gap between people in need and the resources available to support them.
