Parents Lead, a North Dakota program administered by the North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) Behavioral Health Division, has created new resources to help parents and caregivers support their children’s behavioral health all year round.
The new year is a wonderful opportunity for children and families to set goals, embrace change and bond with each other.
These new resources offer creative ideas for making new family traditions that can strengthen relationships in the new year. Families can access a “Year in Review” to celebrate the highlights of 2023 and a “Let’s make 2024 great” activity to plan your New Year goals. There are also conversation starters to help parents and caregivers talk with their children about everyday topics, how to create new memories and practice gratitude. These resources can be found online at ParentsLead.org
The Parents Lead website also has a variety of other materials for parents, caregivers, community members and professionals who work with children and families.
Parents Lead is an evidence-based prevention program that aims to equip parents and caregivers with tools and resources to support their children’s behavioral health.
