    i.    What are essential training components for the following competencies?
          1.    Roles, Advocacy, and Outreach

          7.    Health Promotion Competency

     ii.   Should it be a traditional Internship or Supervised Work?

   b.    Experience Pathway Decision Points

      i.      What is the minimum number of experience hours?
      ii.     Are we considering only paid experience, volunteer experience, or some combination?
      iii.    During what timeframe must the experience have been incurred? (i.e. last 3 or 5 years)
      iv.    Do we recommend keeping this pathway or phasing it out?

II.    Medicaid
   a.    Task Force discussion of Medicaid presentation from last two meetings

III.    Certification and Regulation Decision Points

   a.    What are the essential application requirements for CHW certification?

       i.    Training pathway
          1.    Proof of successful completion of CHW training meeting 40 hour minimum requirement and containing core competencies with two hours of ethics
          2.    Successful completion of 200 internship/supervised work hours

       ii.   Experience pathway
          1.    Letters of Recommendation
          2.    Verification from current or previous employer of proficiency in the 7 core competencies
          3.    Other?

       iii.  Community Health Representative (CHR) pathway
          1.    Proof of successful completion of Indian Health Service CHR training.

   b.    How long is certification effective for? 2 years?

   c.    What is the process for recertification?


       i.    Required number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs)?
           1.    Where can someone obtain CEUs, does it matter?

   d.    Regulation of CHWs

      i.    What are grounds for revocation of a CHW’s certification? 
      ii.   Are complaints allowed?
      iii.  How can a CHW apply for recertification?
      iv.  How does reciprocity work? Do we accept certification from any state or do we require a reciprocity  agreement?
