The Regional Aging Services Program, based at Northwest Human Service Center is a focal point for accessing services for older persons in the three-county region.
Staff
- Administer and monitor Older Americans Act funded programs:
- Senior meals programs (home-delivered, and congregate)
- Transportation
- Outreach
- Health maintenance services
- Are responsible for Vulnerable Adult Protective Services (receive reports regarding abuse, neglect/self-neglect, or exploitation of a "vulnerable adult")
- Provide education, training, information, and referral " Are involved in licensing adult foster care providers
- Supervise Family Caregiver Support Services, which are supportive services for:
- Caregivers of people age 60 and older
- Grandparents relative caregivers who are older than age 60 and who provide care for children younger than 18
