Mental Health Services: Northwest Human Service Center

Services available to children, youth, adults, and families include:

• Assessment
• Family Therapy
• Group Therapy
• Individual Therapy

Community-based services for individuals with a serious mental illness include:

• Adult psychosocial rehabilitation center (contracted)
• Aftercare services
• Case management services
• Community-based residential services
• Homeless case management services
• Psychiatric nursing services
• Supported employment and extended services
• Supportive living services

These services provide short-term, high intensity treatment to youth with behavioral health needs that put them at risk of being removed from their homes due to a mental health condition, severe emotional disturbance and/or substance use issues.

Services are provided in a youth’s home or community setting with participation from family members.

Services include:

• Care coordination/targeted case management
• In-home/community-based individual and family therapy
• In-home/community-based skills training and integration
• Individual or parent behavioral modification training
• Substance use disorder treatment
• Telehealth for rural families

• Regional intervention service staff screen all requests for admission to the North Dakota State Hospital and for admission to the human service center
