This is a North Dakota Health Alert message. Please do not discard N95 masks. There are several processes available to decontaminate the masks and a number of hospitals have this capability. The CDC recommends that users store used N95 masks in a breathable container, that is well marked (to prevent accidental use), and according to the manufacturer’s recommendations for temperature and moisture. Additional guidance from the Department of Health will be forthcoming relative to the decontamination and reuse of N95 masks.
