The purpose of the ND State Rehabilitation Council (SRC) is to advise Vocational Rehabilitation on policies and services. They work with the director and look for ways to help people with disabilities.
The Council
- Informs and advises VR on the effects its programs may be having on North Dakota communities and consumers,
- Helps with planning public comment prior to completing the VR State Plan,
- Advocates for consumer rights and services, and
- Talks to the public and community leaders about the purpose and need for VR.
SRC members are selected to serve by the governor. The council has 17 people. Understanding the needs of people with disabilities is important. More than fifty percent of the members must have a disability.
For a list of members, visit the North Dakota Boards and Commissions website.
