The Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) is a skills training program. It is for qualifying people 55 and older who are low-income and not working. People gain confidence and skills through part-time training.

What kind of training can I get?
There are several nonprofit or government employers in the community we can partner with. Some include:
- Child care centers
- Customer service
- Teachers aide
- Computer technician
- Building maintenance worker
- Health care worker

SCSEP is for:
- People 55 and older who are not working and meet income guidelines.

To apply, contact us using the information below. If you are eligible they will assist you with the application process.
You will train about 20 hours per week and earn minimum wage. Once you have learned the work skills needed, your SCSEP coordinator will help find permanent employment.

You can grow your workforce at no cost to you. The program pays participants while they are receiving work skills training.
Employers have the option to hire SCSEP participants after the work skills training.
Yes. We work directly with employers to provide qualified workers trained to their requirements. The program is called On-the-Job Experience (OJE). Through OJE, the local SCSEP project agrees to pay all of part of the wages while the individual is being trained. Paperwork is kept to a minimum.
