Public Notice - Comments sought on HCBS Traditional IID/DD waiver amendment application

The North Dakota Department of Health and Human Services’ Developmental Disabilities (DD) Section is seeking public comment on the HCBS Traditional IID/DD waiver amendment application. The Traditional IID/DD waiver serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and includes an array of home and community-based services in the least restrictive environment. The addendum includes the addition of virtual services, relative caregivers, electronic signatures, and an update to self-directed background checks. 

The 1915 (c) waiver amendment application with the proposed changes is available for review on the DD Section’s webpages at https://www.hhs.nd.gov/dd. If an individual is unable to access the document via the web, a copy can be mailed to them.
  
The anticipated effective date of the proposed addendum is Nov. 1, 2023. 

Comments and public input on the proposed changes will be accepted from April 13, 2023, until 8 a.m. CT, on May 15, 2023.
