Background:
The Traditional IID/DD Home and Community Based (HCBS) I915(c) waiver serves people with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and includes an array of home and community-based services in the least restrictive environment. The federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) approves 1915(c) waivers for a 5-year period, and the current Traditional IID/DD HCBS waiver period ends March 31, 2024.
North Dakota Health and Human Services’ Developmental Disabilities (DD) Section would like to provide the public with general information on the this waiver along with information on the proposed changes for the upcoming waiver period. This meeting is intended to explain the waiver process, to provide information on proposed updated services and service planning to reflect state and federal policy. A public comment period will occur prior to the renewal being submitted to CMS.
