Duties and Tasks
Lead and Inspire: Motivate a dedicated team to foster curiosity, growth, and innovation. Ensure clear communication and that everyone understands the bigger picture behind decisions and strategies.Business Oversight: Manage revenue-generating operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in accounting and maximizing financial resources. Oversee park contracts, leases, and budgeting processes.Park and Facility Management: Oversee the planning, maintenance, and evaluation of the park's physical resources to ensure they remain safe and well-preserved for visitors.Public Safety: Take charge during emergency situations, working closely with first responders to ensure the safety and well-being of both visitors and staff. Promote a secure and positive environment for all.Community Engagement: Build strong partnerships with local chambers of commerce, civic organizations, and landowners to strengthen ties between the park and the community. Minimum Qualifications
Proven leadership and management experience, ideally in park operations, outdoor recreation, or a similar field.Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Experience in budget management, developing maintenance plans, and overseeing park operations.Commitment to public safety, with emergency response experience preferred. (Law Enforcement or EMT-B Certification is required. If the successful candidate does not currently hold these certifications, the agency will support them in obtaining the necessary credentials.)A passion for fostering community relations and promoting positive park experiences
