Vocational Rehabilitation - Devils Lake, ND - Vocational Rehabilitation TechnicianBe the first point of contact for clients and provide vital administrative support to ensure smooth operation of the office as a Vocational Rehabilitation Technician for ND Health and Human Services Vocational Rehabilitation office located in Devils Lake, ND.As a Vocational Rehabilitation Technician, you will organize and maintain electronic files and assist in converting existing paper files to electronic versions, keep records and forms up-to-date and manage office inventory. You will answer phone calls, assist walk-in clients, and assess clients' immediate needs to direct them to appropriate resources. You will provide businesses with information to support the hiring of individuals with disabilities, schedule appointments for clients and conduct intake interviews.Additionally, you will support counselors by recommending and making purchases based on office policies; assisting clients with job applications, resumes, and interview preparation; and monitoring their progress. You will also arrange services with providers; conduct outreach to schools, employers, and businesses; assist with vendor applications; and pay and track authorizations according to procedures.To thrive in this position , you must take initiative and be comfortable working independently on projects and tasks, in addition to interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You actively listen to identify the needs of clients, even when they may struggle to express them clearly. You convey information clearly and concisely in terms the audience understands. You are adept at handling multiple tasks with competing deadlines, maintaining organization, and tracking progress, requests and follow-up. You have the ability to manage interruptions, prioritize tasks and remain focused on completing projects while maintaining excellent customer service. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and are willing to learn new programs.To be considered for the Vocational Rehabilitation Technician,?you must have a bachelor's degree in a related field required, or a combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities.Location: ND HHS utilizes a blended workplace model.
