Vocational Rehabilitation - Jamestown, ND - Administrative Support SpecialistPlay a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to ND Health and Human Services' (HHS) Vocational Rehabilitation team as an Administrative Support Specialist.As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will be the face of the office, managing a variety of tasks including answering phones, managing files and greeting clients. You will conduct orientation sessions, manage referrals, and connect clients with community resources. Your personable and knowledgeable approach will be crucial as you interact with a diverse range of people, both within and outside the office. In addition, you will develop and nurture relationships with local businesses, exploring potential vendor opportunities and creating connections that benefit our clients. You will also involve engage with the Vocational Rehabilitation team to ensure that clients receive the support and resources they need.To thrive in this position, you must have a willingness to engage with businesses, be comfortable with significant typing and desk work, and possess a keen eye for detail. The position requires strong organizational skills, particularly in managing and scanning medical records, ensuring quality assurance, and maintaining accurate records. You should also be adept at conflict resolution, empathetic in dealing with clients, and capable of managing difficult situations effectively. You are comfortable working in a virtual, paperless environment and are proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.To be considered for the Administrative Support Specialist, you must have a high school diploma or GED, skilled in typing, and at least two years of prior experience providing administrative support or similar roles. Strong writing and communication skills are required, as is proficiency in operating standard office equipment.
