In this role you will gain broad knowledge of the North Dakota legal system regarding parole and probation. You will gain an understanding of the circumstances why individuals are placed on parole and probation. Additionally, you will gain a basic understanding of a parole officer's responsibilities during an offender's time on supervision. You will observe and discuss general operations of parole and probation to include understanding judgments, court/parole conditions, intermediate measures, EPICS, and collateral work with stakeholders. Student Requirements

As a Parent and Caregiver Peer Support you will deliver intentional support activities that build on the strengths and resiliency traits of the parents/primary caregivers and support the parents/primary caregivers in achieving their goals. You will collaborate with representatives from community-based organizations and child-serving systems in providing support to families receiving services, demonstrate the ability to establish peer-based relationships by using strategic self-disclosure to build connection, trust, and acceptance with the parents/caregivers.As a Parent and Caregiver Peer Support you will participate in team meetings and build collaborative partnerships. You will provide support, reassurance, and information as needed to assist parents/primary caregivers in navigating child-serving systems and community resources. You will also work to connect parents with other parents with similar life experiences to reduce isolation, shame, blame, and increase their natural support system.You will develop and maintain strong relationships within the Youth and Family Team, local agencies, schools, family run organizations, and other entities and work both independently and within a team. You will be able to effectively communicate verbally and in writing and are able to present information to a diverse group. Some travel will be required within the region served by LRHSC, and some work outside of the 8-5 workday may occur. You demonstrate an ability to use your own life experiences to empower others to suspend their own bias about parents, communicate that parent voice deserves to be heard and understood. The North Dakota State and Local Intelligence Center (SLIC) is comprised of state and federal law enforcement agencies. The mission of the North Dakota SLIC and the role of the analyst is to collect, store, analyze, and disseminate information on crimes, both real and suspected, to the law enforcement community, government officials, and private industry concerning dangerous drugs, fraud, organized crime, terrorism and other criminal activity for the purposes of decision making, public safety, and proactive law enforcement.This civilian (non-sworn) criminal intelligence analyst position for the North Dakota SLIC provides vital investigative support to various law enforcement agencies in North Dakota, as well as throughout the nation. Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, intelligence studies, homeland security or related field, and experience (2 years is preferred) performing duties in researching, compiling, analyzing, and fusing information and or intelligence in a law enforcement or military or government intelligence agency. Additional work experience as described may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.Ability to write clear and comprehensive information reports, threat and risk assessments, and other analytical products to support strategic and operational planning activities.Knowledge of principles, concepts, and methodologies of analysis to research, review, interpret, evaluate, and integrate all-source data.Knowledge in accomplishing liaison and coordination with counterpart analysts in the intelligence community which result in coordinated research and analyses.Excellent prioritization, time management, and organization skills.Ability to comprehend the training and methodologies necessary to complete the required tasks and to provide case support to law enforcement officers. Under the supervision of the Manuscript Archivist, the Manuscript Collection Intern will increase access to the Ritterbush Family Papers and the Van Horn-Ritterbush Architectural Records at the North Dakota State Archives. The Intern will be immersed in the history of the Ritterbush family and their professional projects in North Dakota, developing expertise that will be used to process their family photographs, papers, and architectural blueprints. Throughout this internship, they will examine documents, conduct historical research, enter data into databases, perform needed preservation actions, digitize documents, and ingest them into the State Archives' content management and digital preservation systems. The processing activities undertaken in this project are necessary to ensure accessibility, intellectual control, and long-term preservation of an important part of the State Archives' manuscript holdings.Many of the tasks related to processing collections of the State Archives are repetitive, while others are complex, multi-step processes; as a result, attention to detail, self-motivation, ability to work independently, willingness to ask questions and integrate feedback into workflow, are all preferred qualities of the successful candidate. This project is a unique opportunity to work hands-on with interesting and varied primary sources that document North Dakota history. On-site training will be provided.
