As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.As a Psychiatrists with Team ND work within a multidisciplinary team to serve individuals/families experiencing severe and persistent behavioral health disorders with associated significant functional impact. As a psychiatrist, you'll provide in-person onsite and community outreach prescription management services to individuals with mental health and substance use disorders. Within HHS, you'll have access to clinicians across multiple specialties including other statewide psychiatrists, licensed addiction counselors, therapists, psychologists, case managers and rehabilitation specialists. Plus, you'll have the opportunity to form collaborative relationships with local treatment teams and statewide partners.Team ND psychiatrists must be committed to improving the quality of patient's lives through achieving and sustain recovery. They must ensure maintenance of certification, licensure, and continuing medical education requirements are met. Care provided must be patient-centered, flexible, adaptable, trauma informed, evidence based and take into consideration solutions that maximize the individuals' opportunities for recovery.To be considered for this position, you must have a Medical Doctorate (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree, an active unrestricted ND license, and an active unrestricted DEA registration number. You must have Board Certification or Board Eligible. Note: We will consider applicants still in residency.This position requires a valid driver's license (or consistent transportation) and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
