The board acts in an advisory capacity on various policies, identifies and develops educational topics for medical practitioners to improve drug therapy, and assists the department in identifying patterns of fraud, abuse, gross overuse or inappropriate or medically unnecessary care.  

The board has established four meetings in 2023.  Times listed are in Central Time.

2023 Schedule of the North Dakota Medicaid Medical Advisory Committee Meetings

In compliance with NDCC Sections 44-04-19 and 44-04-20, this provides public notice of the North Dakota Medicaid Medical Advisory Committee meetings for calendar year 2023. 

The committee meets to hear reports and to advise the department about the operation of the Medicaid program, which is the state and federally-funded health program that serves qualifying individuals, pregnant women, children and people with disabilities.

Effective on or after April 1, 2023, North Dakota Medicaid will be submitting a 1915(i) state plan amendment to increase the rates for the following 1915(i) services: peer support, family peer support, training and supports for unpaid caregivers. Medicaid expenditures for these services are expected to increase $980,000 for a 12-month period.

In compliance with NDCC Sections 44-04-19 and 44-04-20, this provides public notice of the Autism Spectrum Disorder Task Force meetings for calendar year 2023.

The task force was established under state law pursuant to North Dakota Century Code § 50-06-32.

The task force has established quarterly meetings in 2023. Times listed are in Central Time.
