Join North Dakota Department of Career and Technical Education in their mission to provide all North Dakota citizens with the technical skills, knowledge, and attitudes necessary for successful performance in globally competitive workplaces.As a team member, you will join in providing leadership support to the Department of CTE and the Public Safety & Health Education program area.This position will work on-site in our Bismarck, ND office with the possibility of telecommuting after the initial onboarding/learning period. As a CTE Supervisor, you will join in providing technical assistance to schools and instructors to ensure quality CTE programs and develop partnerships with business and industry to align program standards. In this role you will work with a team in conducting professional development workshops and conferences.To thrive in this position, you must have strong communication skills, the ability to multitask and be organized, reliable and professional in a changing work environment. This position does require travel both in-state and out-of-state.

Duties and Tasks

Includes but not limited to:Approve and evaluate secondary and postsecondary programs to determine eligibility.Provide leadership in new trends and innovations in education areas along with health, human services and public safety.Work with other CTE program areas, state organizations and public entities to promote the agency. Assist with leadership of Career & Technical Student Organizations.Endorse instructor licensing and CTE credentials.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Education and five years of administrative, program development or teaching experience. Possession of or able to obtain a valid North Dakota professional teaching license. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. The Department of Career and Technical Education does not provide sponsorships. Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel in and out of the state. Applicant must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds unassisted.
