Lake Region Human Service Center - Rolla, ND - Peer Support Specialist Temporary, Part-Time (20 hours per week) positionBe part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high-quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.As a Peer Support Specialist, you will share personal and practical experience, knowledge, and first-hand insight to benefit service users. With this position, services are delivered by trained and certified individuals in mental health or substance use recovery that promote hope, self-determination, and skills to achieve long-term recovery in the community. With the support of an interdisciplinary team, you will assist with completing and implementing service plans, provide outreach services and engagement opportunities, promote wellness and community involvement, and increase natural supports for service users. Peer Support Specialists will also assist with crisis response. Peer Support Services are community-based. Work will be done primarily in the individual's home and community. To thrive in this position, you should have at least one year of personal recovery, have a strong desire to assist others achieve personal recovery, be knowledgeable about resources offered in your community, and prefer working with clients in their home and natural environments.To be considered for the Peer Support Specialist position, you are required to have the following:Self-identify as an individual who has personal lived experience and is willing to publicly identify as an individual in recovery from a mental health disorder, brain injury, substance use disorder, or combination.At least eighteen years of ageHave a high school diploma or general equivalency. Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read and write at a level proficient enough for training, documentation, and the type of work peer support will require; andThis position also requires:Valid driver's license or ability to travel to meet clients at their location.Ability to successfully complete a defensive driving course within 6 months of hire.Successful completion of a division-approved Peer Support Training Program within 3 months of hire. Lake Region Human Service Center - Devils Lake, ND - Functional Family Therapist **Sign on Bonus up to 2 months' salary** This position is eligible for a 9% pay differential in addition to the base salary.There are two separate positions. These positions will be working with families all throughout Region III (covering the counties of Ramsey, Rolette, Benson, Cavalier, Towner, and Eddy), so the location of the position can be negotiable as long as there is willingness to travel throughout the entire Region.As a Functional Family Therapist, you will provide evidence-based services to families with youth ages 11 through 18 years old who are at risk or have been referred for behavioral or emotional problems. The Functional Family Therapy (FFT) model is designed to empower youth and families by creating strength-based behavior change that will be sustained long after treatment ends.This rewarding career works with adolescents and their families by tailoring services to the individual family using treatment protocols, case management, crisis intervention, community outreach and in-home services. You will function as part of an FFT team and will participate in weekly team supervision and consultation from FFT trained clinicians. As noted previously, this position will be located within Region III and may be eligible for hybrid or in-office/remote work. Typical work schedule includes evenings and the ability to be flexible to meet the scheduling needs of families. Most therapists can build their full-time schedules around their caseload to create an alternate work schedule leaving time for family, schooling, or self-care. We also offer flexibility for classes, internship possibilities within our organization, and the availability for licensure supervision.To thrive in this position, you should be comfortable working with adolescents and families, using cultural responsivity and trauma informed practice. You should also have effective interpersonal and relationships skills and be able to individualize program interventions to utilize adolescent/family strengths. To be considered for this position, you must have one of the required degrees/licensures:A master's degree in counseling, or any other master's degree approved by the North Dakota Board of Counseling Examiners, and ND licensure as an LPCC (Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor); LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor); or LAPC (Licensed Associate Professional Counselor).A master's Degree in Social Work and ND licensure by the ND Board of Social Work Examiners as an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker); LMSW (Licensed Master Social Worker); or LBSW (Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker). If licensed as an LBSW you will also be required to have two years of professional human services work experience as a social worker, human relations counselor, developmental disabilities case manager, mental illness case manager, vocational rehabilitation counselor, activity therapist, addiction counselor, registered nurse, employment counselor, or a similar professional level position in the public or private sector. This is a part-time position, working up to 10 hours per week, and is located in our Rolla Outreach Office. Hours are flexible and can be negotiated with management upon hire.As a Custodian you would be responsible for planning, organizing, and performing a wide variety of custodial functions. You will maintain a schedule of all required cleaning duties, maintain inventory and ensure proper storage of all cleaning supplies, monitor the environment and report pertinent safety or sanitation information to appropriate staff. This person will be responsible for keeping state fleet vehicles cleaned as well. Hours are negotiable and can easily work around other commitments. To be considered for this position, you must have a high school diploma or a GED. Prior experience is preferred but not required. Duties include custodial/maintenance tasks such as vacuuming, sweeping and mopping floors, sanitizing restroom and fixtures, etc. Must be able to lift or move boxes and/or furniture with weight of up to 60 lbs. Salary will depend on the past work experience of the successful applicant.A valid driver's license is preferred but not required.
