Finance - Remote in North Dakota - Logistics ManagerPlay a crucial role in enhancing procurement processes and resource management strategies to ensure the agency has the necessary supplies and services to operate effectively as a Logistics Manager for ND Health and Human Services.As a Logistics Manager, you will coordinate with various HHS sections, team members, and external entities, organizing and conducting regular evaluations of internal processes to identify trends, efficiencies, and vulnerabilities. You will provide measurable feedback to the CFO and HHS leadership team while supporting the Finance Division's priorities and participating in strategic planning initiatives. You will review P-cards and vehicles, while ensuring compliance and enforcement. You will also coordinate and prioritize daily activities, conduct monthly spending reviews, and identify training/development needs to create and facilitate appropriate training programs. Additionally, you will collaborate with Human Resources and other Divisions/Sections to develop onboarding and offboarding processes. You will also serve as a resource for new support staff, providing training and familiarization with state contracts and vendors.To thrive in this position, you must be both a doer and a supervisor, capable of clearly communicating what needs to be accomplished, even in challenging situations. You should be an influential leader who acts on information, persuades action, and escalates necessary corrective measures. Your approach should be firm yet fair, curious, proactive, and innovative, always looking ahead. Identifying issues and making recommendations for problem-solving will be key, along with the ability to propose new policies and procedures. Additionally, you should recognize when training is necessary and take the lead in developing and facilitating those programs.To be considered for the Logistics Manager position, you must have a bachelor's degree and five years of related logistics experience, including supervisory experience, vehicle management, purchasing processes, and procurement regulations.
