Help ensure all children who are receiving foster care services have a safe, secure environment until the child can return home or until a permanent home is found! Mountain Lakes Human Service Zone is seeking a Child Welfare Case Manager (36-40-6536) for the Child Protection Service Unit.As the Child Welfare Case Manager, you will be responsible for providing case management and foster care services to families utilizing the Safety Framework Practice Model. You will also provide wraparound case management services for families with children in foster care or at risk of foster care placement.To succeed in this position, you should be highly organized, able to manage your time and priorities effectively and have demonstrated ability to communicate with all types of people. You will need to have a strong understanding of program policies and laws. You will also be comfortable working with all types of software and database applications, with a willingness to learn new technology programs and have an eye for detail.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you much have a bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, nursing, or criminal justice; and two (2) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A master's degree may substitute for one year of the work experience requirement.ORWe will consider filling this position as a Family Service Specialist II with one of the required degrees above plus one (1) year of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective service worker, or professional case manager. A master's degree in one of the above areas may substitute for the work experience requirement.ORWe will consider filling this position as a Family Service Specialist I with one of the required degrees above with no experience. This position (53-38-5691) serves as a Foster Care and In-Home Services Case Manager within the Children and Family Services work unit.
