Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, you must have a bachelor's degree in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, human development, education, human services, child development and family science, behavioral health, nursing, or criminal justice. Plus, one of the following:Family Service Specialist III (SC7005):Two (2) years of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective services worker, or professional case manager. A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirement. Family Service Specialist II (SC7004):One (1) year of professional work experience as a social worker, child protective services worker, or professional case manager. A master's degree may substitute for one (1) year of the work experience requirement. Family Service Specialist I (SC7004):No work experience required. At the time of application or interview, applicants must submit three professional reference contacts including at least one current or former supervisory contact. Reference information must include reference name, relation to applicant, and current telephone number. Selected candidate must pass a standard background, motor vehicle, and criminal record check.Selected candidate must have a valid driver's license with clean driving record, a reliable vehicle for transportation, and adequate auto insurance coverage.
