Work activities include providing supervision, security, instruction, habilitation, and assistance to adult women in attaining treatment goals within a correctional facility.

Duties and Tasks

Supervise adult women within an institutional setting.Establish and maintain workable, trusting relationships to facilitate group behavior management and individual direction for adult women.Function as a treatment team member to assist in identifying and developing strategies to meet individual treatment needs; provide services to facilitate implementation of individual and group treatment plans.Implement disciplinary action in accordance with established policies and procedures.Provide program orientation and conduct group meetings with adult women upon admission and as required.Observe, identify and interpret behavior patterns; utilize appropriate behavior management approach and crisis intervention techniques as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Work experience with the primary focus in youth/adult care, supervision and intervention. A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

As a Community Corrections Agent II you will perform office management, clerical and reception duties. Oversee Interstate Compact cases and be knowledgeable with the process and rules of Interstate Compact. Assess and supervise low risk and diversion cases, prepare and maintain caseload records. You will develop and maintain offender supervision plans and monitor offender compliance. You will conduct drug testing, fingerprinting, DNA testing and assist with maintenance of SCRAM alcohol monitoring program. You will assist with and monitor collection of court costs, fines, fees, restitution and with transportation and body searches of clients. You will Interact with the judicial system and various agencies to assist with the rehabilitation of people on parole or probation.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or GED and three years of work experience directly interacting with people in a correctional, law enforcement, education, business or behavioral health setting. College coursework in a behavioral science, education, business or field related to the duties of the position may substitute for the work experience requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Minimum Qualifications

Parole and Probation Officer III minimum qualifications:POIII requires a bachelor's degree with a major in a behavioral science or another degree determined by hiring authority at time of recruitment and five years of work experience directly interacting with offenders in a correctional, law enforcement, or social work setting. Two years of the experience must have been in duties comparable to those of a PO II. Incumbent must be licensable as a ND Peace Officer under North Dakota Century Code Chapter 12-63 and shall attend the first available basic peace officer training program recognized by the ND Peace Officers and Training Board (POST Board) ensuring authorization to perform the peace officer duties of a Parole and Probation Officer in accordance with North Dakota Century Code Section 12-59-20. Must have a valid class D driver's license. Parole and Probation Officer II minimum qualifications: A bachelor's degree is preferred in behavioral science, education, business, or a related field with three years of work experience in a corrections, law enforcement, social work, education, or behavioral health setting. Eligibility to be licensed as a peace officer in North Dakota OR an associate's degree with five years of work experience with individuals in corrections, law enforcement, social work, education or behavioral health setting may be considered. Must be licensable as a ND peace officer under North Dakota Century Code Chapter 12-63 and pass the critical task assessment. Must attend basic peace officer training recognized by the ND POST Board ensuring authorization to perform the peace officer duties of a Parole and Probation Officer in accordance with North Dakota Century Code Section 12-59-20. Work activities involve providing supervision, security and assistance to juveniles in attaining cognitive treatment goals within a juvenile correctional facility. Position works four 10-hour shifts per week, with a monthly rotating schedule.

Duties and Tasks

Supervise juveniles committed to the care, custody and control of the ND Division of Juvenile Services who are placed at the ND Youth Correctional Center. Observe juvenile behavior patterns and communicate behavior patterns to team through reports and documentation. Conduct observation rounds of juveniles and maintain counts of juveniles.Diffuse disruptive/destructive behaviors through crisis intervention and verbal counseling whenever possible. Uses physical intervention techniques to gain control if required. Respond to facility/unit emergency crisis situations utilizing the appropriate contingency plans.

Minimum Qualifications
