Finance - Remote within North Dakota - Compliance AuditorAs a Compliance Auditor for ND Health and Human Services, you will play a key role in facilitating the audit process, serving as a conduit between the auditors and program teams to ensure that everything runs smoothly. You will support the audit team and program staff, ensuring timely communication and collaboration throughout the audit process. You will act as a bridge, translating auditor requirements to program needs and ensuring both teams stay aligned. By maintaining clear, efficient lines of communication, you will help the audit process stay on track, addressing any issues or delays that arise and helping to drive the process forward. Additional duties for this role include preparing closing packages for our Annual Comprehensive Financial Review and supporting our internal audit function on larger scale audits.To thrive in this position, you must have a strong background in auditing, as you will need to understand both the technical aspects of the audit and the operational needs of the program teams. Your ability to connect the dots between auditors and program staff will be essential. You should be proactive in identifying potential roadblocks, offering solutions, and ensuring that audit requirements are fully met. Your role will be key in helping program teams understand audit expectations and facilitating the implementation of any corrective actions or recommendations.To be considered for this position, you are required to have a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance AND One (1) year of audit experience, including the ability to facilitate, plan and direct audits.This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new-hire orientation.
